About the artist:
Born February 21, 1993, I grew up living next to my grandfather. From the day I learned how to hold a pencil correctly, my grandfather was teaching me how to draw, paint, sketch, and design. I would draw what a typical things that a five or ten year old would draw, but because of what i learned from my grandfather, they would be more intricate then the average young artist. I would draw everyday until my grandfather passed and I never thought about drawing for a long period of time. When I moved to a new town, I had almost nothing to do for a long time.
One day, I didn't realize it, but I had picked up a pencil and started to sketch random things, and it turned into something. During my junior year of high school, I took an art class in my school. We started with drawing and shading spheres, cubes, and pyramids. And from then my brain tuned back in to my younger days and gave me somewhat of an edge. Senior year came and i had been put into a painting class, where we had to complete a sketchbook assignment of fifteen completed drawings and fifteen other works. I was the first student in the class to complete the fifteen complete drawings.

My thoughts about drawing and painting:
What I believe to be the hardest part about creating a piece of art is actually choosing a topic. In my painting class I would finish one piece and spend the remaining thirty minutes trying to choose a topic. When I am desperate for an idea I will either ask my friends for ideas, or go on the computer and search random things until I came up with an idea.
To make this easier, I find that using an interesting image of an animal can spark an idea to sketch it out, or find another image of it. From that point on, its just as simple as making an interpretation of what you see.
